This is my personal stationery. It is a “From the Desk Of” card that is used for a “Thank You” card. I had some thank you cards left after my graduation from high school. I didn’t use them like I should, but I held on to them over the years. I used in my late twenties to send thank-you’s to friends and family. I eventually lost them and lost the desire to hand write thank-you notes until recently when a boss began using them. I think she had always used them, but I decided to pick up the habit myself.
I wanted something simple and personal, but nothing that could be tied to my business. I wanted it to represent me, personally. First off, the material is a 14 pt uncoated paper at 4.25 in. x 5.5 in. I would have liked a coated front, but the papers available at the printers I use don’t have an option where it is easily writable on the back if a gloss of any kind is used. Hence uncoated. I was afraid the damask pattern might have come off too feminine, but I believe the simple black and white color scheme helps with this.
